A recent Sunday trend poll, conducted by the market research institute Insa for the “Bild am Sonntag”, shows the AfD closing the gap with the Union. The AfD gained one percentage point, reaching 22 percent. The CDU/CSU remains the strongest force, maintaining its 28 percent share. The SPD remains at 16 percent, the Greens at 11 percent, the Left at 10 percent and the BSW at 5 percent. The FDP lost a percentage point, dropping to 3 percent. Five percent of those polled would choose an other party. The Insa institute surveyed a total of 1,201 people from March 10 to March 14, 2025.
