According to a recent survey, the Union has slipped below the 30% mark. In the Sunday trend, which the INSA opinion research institute conducts weekly for the Springer newspaper Bild am Sonntag (BamS), the CDU and CSU lose one percentage point and now stand at 29%. This is the lowest value since April 2024.
In second place is the AfD, which also loses one percentage point and now has 21%. The Chancellor’s party, the SPD, remains unchanged at 16%, followed by the Greens, also unchanged at 13%.
In the Bundestag, the BSW and FDP, which each gain one percentage point, now record 7% and 5%, respectively. The Left, which gains one percentage point, still fails to enter the Bundestag with 4%.
At this level of results, neither the Black-Red nor the Black-Green coalition would have a parliamentary majority, and a new three-party coalition is looming.
For the current survey, INSA interviewed a total of 1,206 eligible voters from January 13 to 17.
