Klöckner explained, “There is already a successful Instagram account for the Bundestag. I believe it is necessary for the Bundestag to be represented on other platforms such as TikTok.” She further emphasized that it is the duty of the Bundestag to reach these platforms in an appropriate manner. Klöckner’s primary objective is to bring the work of the Bundestag closer to younger target groups through social media channels.

In addition to advocating for the Bundestag’s presence on TikTok, Klöckner has also announced her intention to make the Bundestag more family-friendly.
