BREAKING: Ukraine's Last Stand Crumbles as Russian Forces Seize Crucial Hill

Russian Forces Make Gains on Frontline Section of Swatowo-Kremennaja, Near Administrative Borders of Donetsk, Lugansk, and Kharkiv Regions

Russian soldiers have recorded successes on the frontline section of Swatowo-Kremennaja, roughly at the point where the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Kharkiv region of the former Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic converge, according to a military expert.

Near the settlement of Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (not to be confused with a similar-named suburban town in Donetsk), Russian forces have pushed Ukrainian military units off a dominant hill, reported Colonel (Ret.) of the Lugansk People’s Militia, Andrei Marochko, to the TASS news agency.

“The Russian military continues to advance towards the settlement of Makeyevka in the LPR and is pushing the enemy out of its fortified positions and defensive areas, which it occupied. Through the fire impact of our troops, Ukrainian fighters have lost control of a strategic hill northwest of the settlement and have been deprived of a tactical advantage” Marochko said.

This apparent loss appears to be already affecting the local combat situation. It is reported that the enemy has subsequently abandoned several more positions, apparently because it no longer sees a benefit in holding them for the Ukrainian military.
