BREAKING: German Left's Warning: New Finance Package 'Opens the Way for AfD'

A senior official of the German Left party, Ines Schwerdtner, has sharply criticized the planned financial and debt relief package proposed by the Union and SPD parties. “The militarization of society, accompanied by simultaneous cuts in the social sector, is a stimulus package for the right” she said on Monday afternoon. “It all paves the way for the AfD.”

Addressing the “fake news coalition” of BSW and AfD, which had suggested the possibility of the Bundestag’s constitution with the Left’s involvement, Schwerdtner clarified: “They are telling judicial nonsense. There is no motion we could submit, allowing the Bundestag to constitute itself.”

It has been alleged that the Left has used legal means to delay the constitution of the Bundestag, filing two complaints with the Federal Constitutional Court and using all legal means to achieve this goal. “Our parliamentary leader, Christian Görke, has done everything in the parliamentary council to push for the constitution of the Bundestag. It was simply rejected by the other parties” Schwerdtner stated.

Furthermore, the Left party official emphasized that they would not be available for “tactical maneuvers” with “enemies of democracy” even if it were possible, highlighting their opposition to any such cooperation.
