As a result of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, four more hostages were released in the Gaza Strip on Saturday. The four soldiers were handed over to the International Red Cross, which then brought them to Israel, as confirmed by the Israeli military (IDF). The four women had been in Hamas captivity since the October 7, 2023, raid.

In exchange, Israel plans to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. On the previous Sunday, the first three hostages were freed as part of the agreement. A total of 33 hostages are expected to be released in the coming weeks, in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners being set free.
