Berlin, Germany – In a coordinated effort, law enforcement authorities conducted searches in three residences in Stahnsdorf, Spremberg and Königs Wusterhausen, targeting three men aged 64, 59 and 46, who are suspected of supporting a terrorist organization.
According to the Berlin State Prosecutor’s Office, the individuals are accused of planning to violently overthrow the federal democratic order of the Federal Republic of Germany. The 64-year-old suspect is believed to have known about the coup plans since March 2022 and allegedly agreed to scout out railway infrastructure. The two other suspects are suspected of having knowledge of the group’s weapons procurement plans but failed to report them.
During the searches, authorities seized electronic storage media, air rifles and a percussion cap lock (PTB) weapon. The investigation is ongoing, with a particular focus on the analysis of the confiscated digital data.
