Bombshell Raid Uncovers Germany's Hidden Right-Wing Threat

A major operation was conducted by the authorities in Saxony on Wednesday, in connection with investigations into suspected right-wing terrorists. The Soko Rex at the State Criminal Police of Saxony, with the support of special forces (SEK), executed five court-ordered search warrants in Dresden, Görlitz, Leipzig, the Erzgebirgskreis and the Vogtlandkreis, according to a statement from the General Public Prosecutor’s Office in Dresden.

The investigations, initiated by the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, are targeting five male suspects, aged between 47 and 77, who are residents of Saxony. The General Public Prosecutor’s Office took over the proceedings between September 2024 and March 2025.

One of the suspects, a 47-year-old, is accused of having joined the “United Patriots” in December 2021 and actively participating in the organization. A 57-year-old is suspected of having actively supported the group, at the very least. Three other suspects, aged 48, 54 and 77, are alleged to have known the implementation plans of the terrorist organization but failed to report them to the security authorities.

The “United Patriots”, also known as the “Kaiserreichsgruppe”, is believed to have aimed to create civil war-like conditions in Germany, using violence and at least risking the loss of lives, in order to bring about the downfall of the federal government and the parliamentary democratic system.
