Israel’s Military Issues Alert After Escalation in Tensions with Iran
The Israeli military has urged its citizens to minimize their movements and avoid gatherings, following a recent escalation in the conflict with Iran. In a statement released on Friday, the military advised residents across the country to stay near protected areas and seek shelter in those locations in the event of an alarm being sounded, until an official all-clear is given.
Earlier, the Israeli military had reported a rocket attack from Yemen on Israel, with sirens heard in Jerusalem. The rocket, which was not intercepted by Israel’s defense systems, landed in the Hebron area of the West Bank.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported a second attack on a nuclear facility south of the capital, Tehran, with two explosions heard near the Fordo facility. Israel had previously attacked the Natanz nuclear facility in the Iranian province of Isfahan. The International Atomic Energy Agency, however, stated that radiation levels outside the facility remained unchanged.
