Bochum Loan Forward Bamba To Willem II

VfL Bochum has agreed to loan promising forward Samuel Bamba to Willem II Tilburg, a club competing in the Dutch second tier, the Bundesliga side announced Friday. The loan agreement extends through the end of the 2025/26 season and does not include a purchase option.

Bamba has made ten competitive appearances for VfL Bochum to date, including five in the Bundesliga and two DFB-Pokal matches where he scored one goal. He also featured in three Oberliga Westfalen games with the club’s U21 team. The move is intended to provide the 21-year-old with increased playing time and competitive experience.

“Sammy needs regular competitive minutes and that is precisely the goal of this loan” stated VfL Bochum’s Sporting Director, Dirk Dufner. “It was his explicit wish to generate more playing time and to pursue this loan. We will closely monitor his progress in Tilburg and wish him much success at Willem II”.
