Bayern Thrash Leipzig in Bundesliga Opener

Bayern Munich emphatically launched their Bundesliga campaign with a dominant 6-0 victory over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena. The defending champions asserted their control from the opening whistle, establishing a commanding lead before halftime.

Michael Olise opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a precise right-footed shot. Shortly after, new signing Luis Diaz doubled the advantage in the 32nd minute with a well-taken goal. Olise completed a first-half brace, adding a third for Bayern in the 42nd minute from close range.

The intensity continued after the break, with Harry Kane, who had been quiet in the first half, taking center stage. Kane secured a hat trick, beginning with a strike in the 64th minute, assisted by Diaz, to make it 4-0. He then added his second ten minutes later with a placed right-footed effort, extending the lead to 5-0. Kane completed his hat trick in the 78th minute with a left-footed shot into the far corner, sealing the comprehensive victory.

RB Leipzig struggled to mount a significant challenge throughout the match, managing only a few half-chances in the second half which failed to seriously test Manuel Neuer. A goal from Antonio Nusa was disallowed after a VAR review revealed a foul during the preceding free-kick. The result firmly establishes Bayern Munich’s title aspirations while leaving RB Leipzig with a sobering start to the new season.
