German Green Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock expressed her indignation at a campaign event in Potsdam, criticizing US President Donald Trump’s new Ukraine policy. In response, she called on the Europeans to increase the pressure on the US.

Baerbock hinted at a “second era of change” being necessary, suggesting that the Americans need to realize they would lose a lot if they no longer stood alongside the liberal democracies of Europe. The minister referred to conversations between the US and Russia regarding Ukraine, urging that there should be no “false peace.” According to Baerbock, no one is allowed to make decisions over the heads of the Ukrainians and Europeans.
