Author Wahl Trades Novels for Navigation License

Bestselling author Caroline Wahl intends to refrain from significant purchases following the release of her third novel, “The Assistant” as she revealed in a recent interview with the “Rheinische Post”.

After previous literary successes, Wahl previously indulged in a sports car and a recreational vehicle. However, she stated she currently has no plans for further large acquisitions. “One also has to take care of these things” she explained, adding that she is presently content with her lifestyle and plans to remain living in Kiel.

The 30-year-old author does, however, intend to pursue a boating license. “Long-term, I would really like to sail” she said, suggesting she might begin with a motorboat license as an initial step.

Born in Mainz in 1995, Wahl studied German Studies in Tübingen and German Literature in Berlin. Her latest novel centers on a young publishing assistant whose well-being is jeopardized by a demanding and insecure boss. Wahl herself previously worked in a publishing house in Zurich, where she wrote her debut novel, “22 Laps”.
