Environmental Minister Urges Reversal of Family Reservation Cancellation
Germany’s Federal Environment Minister, Carsten Schneider of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), has appealed to the German Railways to reconsider the abolition of family reservations.
In an interview with the Funke-Mediengruppe, Schneider emphasized the importance of making train travel attractive, particularly for families. He believes that families want to sit together during their train journeys and should be able to afford them.
“I would welcome it very much if the responsible authorities would reconsider this unexpected step” Schneider stated, expressing his disapproval of the decision.
