Abandons Party to Form Unlikely Alliance!

In a recent interview, Christian Lindner, the leader of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), expressed his support for a potential coalition of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the FDP. Lindner stated that a “Germany coalition”would be a better option than a “Black-Green”government and that the FDP would not continue the policies of the current SPD-led government.

Despite his party’s differences with the SPD, Lindner maintained a cordial relationship with many leading social democrats, even receiving birthday greetings from them. However, he declined to name any specific individuals, citing the importance of maintaining confidentiality to avoid causing harm to his colleagues.

Lindner emphasized the potential for a “Germany coalition”to form if the FDP were to re-enter the Bundestag, stating that it would automatically render a “Black-Green”government impossible. He also left the door open for winning over Alternative for Germany (AfD) voters for a government of the center, one that would not involve the SPD and the Greens. In his opinion, a “Black-Yellow”government would be the best for the country.
