A majority of Germans no longer consider the United States a reliable partner, according to a survey published on Friday by Forsa for RTL and ntv. In the poll, 73% of respondents expressed this opinion, with a similar sentiment found in both eastern and western parts of the country, as well as across nearly all party affiliations. The only exception was the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, where 48% of its supporters still viewed the US as a reliable partner. Overall, only 24% of German citizens saw the US as a reliable partner for Germany. The survey polled 1,004 people on February 12 and 13.
