German Police Arrest 66-Year-Old Man in Connection with Double Homicide
A 66-year-old man has been taken into custody as a suspect in the murder of two women, aged 64 and 69, in Alzenau, a town in the Aschaffenburg district of Bavaria, Germany. The police received a tip about a family dispute on Thursday evening and responded to the scene in the Somborner Straße, where they found the two women dead, having suffered severe physical harm.
The police, accompanied by a large contingent, arrived at the scene at around 7:20 pm, following the tip-off. During the arrest of the suspect, the officers used their firearms, but no one was injured. The Kriminalpolizei Aschaffenburg has taken over the investigation and authorities assured that at no point did the situation pose a threat to the public. The motives behind the crime are still being investigated.
