$5 BILLION ORDER SURGE SET TO ROCK DEFENSE INDUSTRY!

Renk, a major transmission equipment manufacturer from Augsburg, expects a surge in sales and profits by 2025, driven by the government’s and EU’s massive modernization program. According to a report by ntv, citing the company’s CEO, the order book stood at five billion euros at the end of last year, with more than 1.3 billion euros in sales expected for the current year. This is expected to result in a pre-tax profit of 210 to 235 million euros.

The company’s CEO, Alexander Sagel, attributed the expected surge in sales and profits to the strong demand for Renk’s products, fueled by global geopolitical developments. The company’s Vehicle Mobility Solutions segment, which includes transmissions for the “Leopard 2” tank, among others, has seen the strongest growth, with a 32 percent increase in sales in 2024. This segment now accounts for around 60 percent of the company’s total sales.
