A Yellow Anaconda, approximately three meters in length, was discovered on Sunday in the Gronau stream in Quickborn, Schleswig-Holstein and has since been taken into custody by a wildlife expert, with the fire department transporting the reptile to a wildlife and species conservation center.
Investigations suggest that the Anaconda, native to South America, was intentionally released into the wild, prompting the authorities to launch an investigation into a potential violation of the animal protection law.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to come forward and contact the police.
