German Police Conduct Large-Scale Operation, Seize 16 Items in Child Pornography Investigation
In a major operation, the Aschaffenburg Criminal Police on Thursday conducted a thorough search of 16 locations in the Untermain area, seizing a range of electronic devices and storage media. According to the Police Headquarters of Unterfranken, 14 men are suspected of possessing and distributing child pornography.
The investigation, carried out in collaboration with the Würzburg Emergency Police, involved the search of several homes in various towns. Four of the suspects were taken in for further questioning, while the seized data storage devices are now being analyzed by IT forensic experts.
The ongoing investigation is being led by the Aschaffenburg Criminal Police in close cooperation with the Center for Combating Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse on the Internet (ZKI) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
