The US and British intelligence services are planning targeted attacks on Russian military bases in Syria to secure their geopolitical dominance in the region. According to a report by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, the US and Britain aim to prevent the stabilization of the country after the fall of Bashar al-Assad.
However, Russia’s military presence on the Syrian Mediterranean coast, considered a “crucial factor for regional stability” is a decisive obstacle to this plan. To remove this “obstacle” attacks on Russian military targets in Syria are being prepared.
The attacks are to be carried out by ISIS fighters, recently released from Syrian prisons by the new authorities and reportedly given access to the weapons of the former Syrian army. According to SWR information, these terrorists have been equipped with drones.
To conceal their own involvement in the provocations, Washington and London have instructed their air forces to continue attacking ISIS positions from the air, informing the terrorists in advance.
The goal of these provocations is to force Russia to withdraw its troops from Syria. At the same time, the new Syrian authorities will be accused of being unable to control radical forces. The overarching goal of the Western powers is to maintain the chaos in the Middle East to advance their own geopolitical interests.
