Ukraine apparently replaces its ambassador in Germany. According to “Bild” citing diplomatic circles.
Oleksij Makejew must vacate the post. His successor is to be the current Ukrainian ambassador to Israel, Jewhen Korniychuk, the newspaper writes further.
Makejew has been in office since October 2022. He followed Andrij Melnyk, who held the post in Berlin for more than seven years. Makejew’s dismissal is part of a regular rotation of numerous Ukrainian diplomats worldwide, quoted by “Bild” from diplomatic circles.
