Alice Weidel’s Environs in Contact with Elon Musk’s Team for a Long Time, Says Spokesman
According to her own statement, Alice Weidel’s surroundings have been in contact with Elon Musk’s team for a long time. “Weidel’s team is in regular exchange with Musk’s team” said her spokesman, Daniel Tapp, to the Spiegel. “Elon Musk has been interested in the AfD program for some months now.” There has been no personal phone call or meeting between Weidel and Musk so far, but “that will certainly change soon” the spokesman said.
It could be a live X-Space with Musk and Weidel, a live audio conversation on Musk’s platform X. A user on X suggested this last week: “You should have a live X-Space with Alice Weidel from the AfD. They will freak out.” Musk replied, “Okay.” Weidel’s spokesman said, “We are already in talks about an X-Space between the two.”
The joint appearance on X would be an opportunity for Musk to further build up his support for the right-wing AfD party. The tech billionaire had already promoted the AfD on X before Christmas, for which Weidel publicly thanked him. At the weekend, Musk recommended voting for the AfD in a guest article in the Welt am Sonntag. The German political scene heavily criticized the interference in the German election campaign.
