The 16th matchday of the 2. Bundesliga saw SC Preußen Münster defeat Hertha BSC 2:1. This result leaves Hertha in 11th place, while Preußen Münster occupies the 15th spot.
Initially, Hertha dominated the game, but Münster refused to give in and ultimately emerged as the stronger team. Derry Scherhant (28′) scored for Hertha, while Daniel Kyerewaa (57′) and Torge Paetow (87′) found the net for Preußen Münster.
Meanwhile, Karlsruher SC won 4:2 against SSV Jahn Regensburg, with the latter remaining at the bottom of the table and Karlsruhe climbing to 4th place.
Regensburg’s disciplined defense managed to hold Karlsruhe at bay for a long time, only for the visitors to capitalize on their high possession rate and create good chances later on. Christian Kühlwetter (19′) initially gave Regensburg the lead with a successful penalty, before Budu Zivzivadze equalized in the 2nd minute of stoppage time in the first half. Eric Hottmann regained the lead for Regensburg in the 49th minute, but Marvin Wanitzek (56′), Budu Zivzivadze (62′), and Fabian Schleusener (86′) ultimately turned the game around for Karlsruhe.
