Little has changed in the political mood in 2024. In the last Sunday trend of the year, which the opinion research institute Insa conducts every week for “Bild am Sonntag”, the CDU/CSU lose a point and, with 31 percent, are one percentage point worse off than at the end of 2023.
The SPD can gain a point and, with 17 percent, are two percentage points better off than a year ago. The Greens remain unchanged in the year-on-year comparison and the previous week, with 12 percent, but the FDP has lost a point, now at four percent (five percent at the end of 2023 and in the previous week).
The only real change this year concerns the new Wagenknecht party. The BSW stands at seven percent on New Year’s Eve. The AfD, on the other hand, has lost three points in the year-on-year comparison and now stands at 20 percent. The other parties would also vote three percent less (now six percent). The Left has fallen from four to three percent.
