BREAKING: German MPs Unleash Shocking Demand to Rewrite Election Blueprint - What's Next for Europe's Oldest Democracy?

There are calls for changes in the Bundestag election program within the AfD. According to the “World”, a survey of members on five individual questions ended in the night of Thursday. The program will be decided on at the federal party convention in mid-January, with a draft from the federal program commission in front of it.

The majority of the participating members are unhappy with several parts of the draft. For example, 71.5% of those who took part in the survey are in favor of calling for the reinstatement of military service in the program. The program commission had previously removed this demand. The party leader, Tino Chrupalla, had also agreed to the removal, explaining in the “World” that the current impression is that the military service is being reintroduced to send young people to the front in the Ukraine war.

The invitation to the survey was sent to all 47,981 party members. Of these, 7,548, or 15.7%, took part in the survey, as an evaluation of the staff area of the AfD’s federal office of principle, strategy, and programmatic shows.

“This survey will flow into the final part of the program process” the invitation email, reported by the “World”, says. The program commission can incorporate the results of the members into their draft.

The members also want to remove the explicit demand for Germany’s exit from the European Union from the election program. In the draft of the program commission, it says: “We hold a departure of Germany from the European Union and the founding of a new European community to be necessary. We want to replace the European Union with its bureaucracy and institutions with an economic and interest community.”

Only 46.2% of the participating members voted for this formulation. 52.6% prefer a proposal that says: “We strive for a ‘League of European Nations’ a newly founded European economic and interest community, in which the sovereignty of the member states is preserved.” The European Union, it is said, will be replaced by this community of states.

The members also plead for the addition of the sentence “The family is the seed of society” to be extended: “The family consists of father, mother, and children.” 76.6% of the participants voted for this extension. The federal program commission had previously decided to drop the sentence, also to spare the top candidate, Alice Weidel, who lives with her wife and children, from uncomfortable questions in the election campaign.
