According to Sky, citing its own information, Steffen Baumgart is set to become the new head coach of Bundesliga’s Union Berlin. The club is reportedly planning to announce the appointment in the same year, with Sebastian Bönig also set to rejoin the coaching team. Baumgart will succeed Bo Svensson, who parted ways with the team on Friday. Baumgart himself was released by HSV at the end of November.

Union Berlin currently has 17 points and is in 12th place in the Bundesliga table, having recently gone eight games without a win and slipping down the table.
