SPD MP Karamba Diaby, a Senegalese living in Saxony-Anhalt, has warned of attacks on people with a migration background after the Magdeburg attack. “There are now many threats against migrants – with the motto: ‘Foreigners out.’ There are also increased attacks, at least I notice that in networks” he told the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland” (Tuesday edition). “I find this very unsettling and frightening.”
Diaby added: “The Magdeburg attack was a terrifying act. The perpetrator must be held accountable. But a general suspicion is terrifying. We should make sure that in the population now everyone comes together.” Previously, church representatives had complained that migrants were afraid of being attacked.
