A man with Russian and German citizenship has been arrested in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, according to the Russian news agency Interfax, citing the FSB domestic intelligence agency on Tuesday.
He is allegedly a part of a group that was preparing a “sabotage act” on a railway track. A German-Russian national was found to have a functional improvised explosive device and communication equipment, which were seized, it was reported. He is also claimed to be a member of a neo-Nazi group and to have been in contact with a representative of the Ukrainian intelligence services.
Recently, there have been numerous reports of foreigners arrested in Russia in connection with sabotage accusations.
