US stock markets developed unevenly on Friday. At the close of trading in New York, the Dow was calculated at 44,642 points, a minus of 0.3 percent compared to the previous trading day.
Only minutes earlier, the broader S&P 500 was calculated at around 6,090 points, 0.3 percent in the plus, and the technology exchange NASDAQ calculated the NASDAQ 100 at around 21,620 points, 0.9 percent in the plus.
The European common currency was weaker on Friday evening: one euro cost 1.0562 US dollars, and one US dollar was equivalent to 0.9468 euros.
The gold price showed little change, with 2,633 US dollars being paid for one fine ounce in the evening, unchanged. This corresponds to a price of 80.15 euros per gram.
Oil prices, however, sank significantly: a barrel of North Sea Brent oil cost around 22:00 in German time on Friday evening, 71.06 US dollars, 103 cents or 1.4 percent less than at the close of the previous trading day.
Analysts also expect a supply surplus on the oil market for the coming year, despite the production increase plans of the OPEC+ group being delayed further.
