A joint summit between the European Union and Ukraine is expected to be held on February 3 in Kiev.

The news was made public by the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky through an official statement.

Official Kiev says that the focus of the summit will be military and financial support for Ukraine. Meanwhile, from the side of the European Union, there has been no extended information on the summit that is expected to be held or its location.

“The parties discussed the expected results of the upcoming Ukraine-EU summit to be held on February 3 in Kyiv and agreed to intensify preparatory work,” the statement said.

A spokesman for the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, confirmed on Tuesday that the joint summit will take place in the Ukrainian capital. He added that the European Union will be represented by Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen.
