Two buses collide in Senegal, 40 people die

At least 40 people have lost their lives and 85 others have been seriously injured when two buses collided today in Senegal.

“I am deeply affected by the tragic accident in Gnibyju, where 40 people lost their lives and many others were injured,” said Macky Sall, the president of Senegal.

Through a post on Twitter, he announced that the causes of this accident are still unknown, while the authorities are investigating the case.

Three days of mourning have been announced in this country in honor of the victims of this accident.

Amateur footage shows the buses destroyed in this accident, where one of the heavy transport vehicles hit the side of the other bus.
