The US allocates about three billion dollars in aid to Ukraine

Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a new $2.85 billion in military aid to Ukraine on Friday.

It will include “Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, artillery systems, armored personnel carriers, surface-to-air missiles, ammunition and other items.”

The top US diplomat said the administration would work with Congress “to secure an additional $907 million in foreign military funding under the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022.”

“The funds will support Ukraine and countries affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine,” Blinken said in a statement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced via social networks “the largest ever package of US defense aid”.

“Thanks POTUS for all new weaponry including Bradley vehicles, anti-aircraft missiles. It will strengthen the Ukrainian army on a battlefield. Great Christmas gift for Ukraine! Together with the American people, we are approaching a common victory,” he wrote.

Otherwise, the USA is one of the main countries that is helping the Ukrainian state the most in the fight against the Russian invader, which started on February 24.
