The race to topple Russian President Vladimir Putin and take the Kremlin crown is on, says Russian war analyst and former loyalist Igor Strelkov.
The former colonel of the FSB said that the fight for the “political Olympus” has already begun among those who surround the Russian president.
Strelkov – who was instrumental in the annexation of Crimea in 2014 – is now a staunch critic of the Kremlin’s war strategy in Ukraine.
An immediate mass mobilization of half a million more men is the only way for the Russian president to avoid defeat and humiliation in the war in Ukraine, he claims.
He claimed that Putin’s friend Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner’s private army, is already going head-to-head with allies of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
Igor Strelkov, previously stated that Putin is leading Russia towards revolution, making the same disastrous military mistakes that Russia made in 1917.
He said that Putin’s army is at the point of no return where he loses if he attacks and if he retreats.
