An Iranian citizen is arrested in Germany, planning attacks with deadly poisons.

The anti-terrorism department of the German police has arrested a 32-year-old man in Castro-Rauxel in the northwest of the Ruhr, under the accusation of having planned attacks with “Islamist” motives.

The man who has Iranian citizenship is suspected of having managed to secure cinaid and ricinus, it is said by the judge’s office in Dusseldorf but also by the police in Recklinhausen in Munster.

Ricinius is a highly toxic biological weapon. Last night, the police raided the apartment of the 32-year-old in Castro-Rauxel.

“The accused is suspected of having prepared a series of dangerous actions for the state. During the raids, toxic materials were found,” the statement said.

The suspect was arrested together with another man – and local media report that it is his brother.

The German authorities a few days ago received a warning from foreign intelligence agencies about threats to attack with chemical bombs.

In Germany in recent years, several “Islamist” attacks have been carried out, among which was the one with a truck in the holiday market in 2016, where 13 people lost their lives as a result.
