Mexico

At least 29 people have been killed since the day of violence that began Thursday in the northern Mexican state of Sinaloa.

All this violence was caused after the arrest of Ovidio Guzman, one of the sons of “El Chapo” and the most wanted by the United States of America.

Defense Secretary Luis Cresencio Sandoval pointed out that of the 29 dead, some belonged to Mexico’s Armed Forces and the criminal groups that sparked the violent unrest.

Along with three other brothers, Ovidio Guzman is facing charges in the US for dealing narcotic substances – cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana.

We emphasize that the 32-year-old is currently in the high security prison at the Federal Center for Social Readaptation (Ceferoso), better known as “El Altiplano”.

Otherwise, Ovidio Guzman-Lopez is the son of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman and his second wife, Griselda Lopez Perez.
