American actor Jeremy Renner has come out of surgery but remains in critical condition due to the accident with a snowplow.
Renner suffered chest tightness and orthopedic injuries and remains in intensive care, his manager said.
He was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after the accident was recorded while clearing snow outside his home in Nevada.
The United States has been engulfed by a freezing weather, with a snowstorm, which has claimed the lives of several dozen people.
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses who are caring for him,” the manager continued in a statement.
The family also thanked the local police and fire services, as well as the actor’s many fans for their messages of condolence.
Before the accident, Renner was clearing a road in his hometown of Reno, Nevada, using his snowplow so the family could evacuate because of the heavy storm.
The 51-year-old was the only person involved in the crash, which is being investigated by the county sheriff.
