Zelensky: Russia is trying to erase our history.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has spoken to students across the UK in a live broadcast at several universities.

The event is organized by the Student Union of Ukraine and the participating universities include Birmingham, Cambridge, Coventry, Glasgow, LSE, Manchester, Oxford, UCL and City, University of London.

Zelensky addressed them saying that now it’s been 107 days since the start of the war, adding that 107 days Ukrainians have been tested for survival.

“This war is visible and monstrous,” he said, adding that the Russians “speak for peaceful purposes, but… they are killing children and women.”

Zelensky talked about history and selected some historical events from UK cities where universities are located.

“The Russian mission is to erase our history, our state, our identity and deny our existence. And as such to show the world that we have never existed, that we are a people artificially created as a variety of plants or animals.”
