Zelensky-Putin meeting is possible

Zelensky-Putin meeting is possible.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted by international media saying that a direct meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky “could happen and should not be ruled out as a possibility.”

He initially said that the negotiating teams must first do their job, adding that Putin holds telephone conversations with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, almost every day,

Peskov said that the circumstances should be considered, but that at no point, according to him, should the possibility of a meeting between the two leaders be ruled out.

However, the West is skeptical of such a meeting, given the fact that so far Putin has not expressed any kind of remorse for the Russian invasion of Ukraine – and Zelensky has repeatedly stated that he does not intend to submit to the demands of Moscow.
