YouTuber tests the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the water

A YouTuber has published a video on his account, HaerteTest, testing the iPhone 14 Pro Max in water.

As seen in his video, he dunks the phone in water several times, but doesn’t hold it for long periods of time.

Despite these tests, the phone seems to work quite well and does not suffer from any defects.

Apple a few days ago launched its iPhone 14 series, which consists of four new models such as iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 is not waterproof, but it boasts an IP68 rating which means the highest resistance to water and dust, but not waterproof. All new models in the range have this IP68 rating.

What does IP68 mean?

This strange abbreviation means “Intrusion Protection” and is regulated and standardized internationally (IEC 60529 standard). The first digit indicates protection against solids – dust, grease, sand, etc. Number 6 is the highest rating possible.

The second digit is much more important to the normal ‘smartphone’ consumer. It’s also a bit more controversial, as manufacturers run their own in-house tests when prescribing it. The number 8 here means that the device is able to survive immersion in up to 6 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
