Ukraine will attack Russian forces to retake Crimea.

Ukraine is preparing to attack the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014 and is home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, according to a government official.

“We have anti-ship capabilities and sooner or later we will target the fleet,” Ukrainian Defense Minister Volodymyr Havrylov said during a visit to London.

“Russia will have to leave Crimea if it wants to exist as a state,” he said.

Havrylov said the liberation of Snake Island, which was occupied by Moscow in the early days of the occupation, was the first step.

“We are ready to target them along the entire Black Sea if we have the opportunity,” he said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reacted by saying that Havrilov’s statements confirm the necessity of a “special military operation”.

Otherwise, Russia has continued today with attacks towards Ukraine, causing material damage and casualties.
