Ukraine has surrounded 5500 Russian soldiers in Lyman

Ukraine

The chief adviser to the Ukrainian president, Alexey Arestovich, announced that up to 5,500 Russian soldiers are surrounded in Lyman in Donetsk.

According to the local Ukrainian authorities, their troops “cut” all the roads to send them out of the city, and all attempts by the Russian army to free the comrades were unsuccessful.

We emphasize that yesterday the leader of the separatist administration supported by Russia in the eastern Donetsk region of Ukraine, Denis Pushilin, said that the Russian bastion of Lyman in the north of the region is “half surrounded” by the Ukrainian army and that the news from the front is “alarming”.

In a message published on Telegram, Pushilin said that the villages of Jampil and Drobisheve near Lyman “are no longer completely under our control.”

The so-called “People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)” announced this morning that the first Russian soldiers from the partial mobilization had arrived in Donetsk.

Russia, Syria and North Korea are the only UN members that recognize the DPR as a legitimate government.
