Tuchel and Conte were punished with red cards

Shake hands

Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte will no longer have the same relationship as before.

Chelsea and Tottenham’s coach had an irritating contact during the derby between the two teams that ended 2-2.

The pair were initially irritated when the Italian started celebrating Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s goal that equalized 1-1, and the German took issue with that behavior as there were two controversial situations leading up to the goal.

First, an illegal intervention against Kai Havertz was not awarded, then Richarlison had caught the line of sight of Eduard Mendy, in which case the goal was scored.

The two coaches were punished with yellow cards, to continue after the match.

Reece James restored the lead for the Blues, while Harry Kane in the 90th+6th minute equalized the numbers at 2-2.

After the match ended, Conte went to shake Tuchel’s hand, but the latter held it, thus starting the escalation of the situation.

Referee Anthony Taylor had to intervene again, but now with red cards, calming the missing duo against Leeds United (Chelsea) and Wolves (Tottenham), respectively.
