Top ten, the best selling cars in Europe during July

VW

Once the best-selling car in Europe, the Volkswagen Golf is very close to falling out of the top ten, but it has a successor that is defending this title with dignity.

Over the last ten years these lists were a bit monotonous, as they always featured almost the same models at the top but with a few small details that differed from each other, but in the last three years things have changed in the automotive industry. .

We present to you the list of the 10 best-selling models in Europe – the data is for July (August is not yet counted), where they start from the tenth place to the first.

Kia Sportage

Yes, a South Korean car is among the ten best-selling cars in Europe, and it is an SUV that is not the cheapest, the Hyundai Bayon.

The new Sportage is being sold in a big way, last year this car was in the 37th place (data for the whole year 2021), and this year it is in the top 10. In 2022, over 80,000 units have already been sold.

Opel Corsa

This is already expected. The Opel Corsa has been popular for years and many people prefer to have it in their garage – and now it’s their turn to have it in the electric version.

Interestingly, the Corsa B has had five body styles, the current generation has one, the next generation will have none, as it will no longer be produced. Sales in July went to 14 thousand units, and from the beginning of the year to 102 thousand.

Volkswagen Golf

The perennial leader has dropped to eighth place or maybe this is happening temporarily? Or is this result happening as a result of the many models that are on offer from Volkswagen and people already want to try something else – and not just the Golf? So far, that is, in this year, 103,200 units have been sold.

Hyundai Tucson

There are already two South Korean SUVs in the top ten best-selling cars in Europe. The sale in the first seven months of this year has reached 91 thousand units.

Fiat 500

We are talking about the phenomenon of the small urban car that has been selling well for days, as it looks fantastic and serves well in cities that have a large number of cars. Fiat 500 this year was sold in 93 thousand units.

Dacia Duster

Dacia Duster is in the top five best-selling cars in Europe during July! It has managed to sell 14,920 units, in total – that is, since the beginning of the year, 88,000 units.

Toyota Yaris

The Yaris is selling big. You can see it around town, take it on long journeys – as it is a very good car.

The sale of this car during this year has reached 91 thousand units, but this is considered a slight decrease due to the appearance on the market of the Yaris Cross, which is more attractive.

Peugeot 208

The only Peugeot on the list, but among the top three. Right now, it is the only one on the list that has sold over 120,000 units this year.

Although in July it fell to the third place, it is certain that during this year it can also take the first position – thanks to the great sale in France.

Dacia Sandero

Sandero still has its trump cards, apart from the affordable price. It is available in the market with an automatic transmission, has a 1 liter TCe engine and looks like a very expensive car, but one that can be bought for a little money.

So far, 113,000 such cars have been sold – that is, this year, and in July, less than the Peugeot 208.

Volkswagen T-Roc

It is no longer the Golf, but its successor is the leader of the list in Europe. Since the beginning of the year, it has sold 105,000 units of the Volkswagen T-Roc, so of course it is the leader in the crossover segment. In July, T-Rocut’s sales increased to 19,130 units.
