This is the DualSense Edge controller for the PlayStation 5

Sony has introduced the new DualSense Edge controller for the PlayStation 5. Sony says it’s the most customizable version of the PlayStation controller to date.

The DualSense Edge has two new buttons on the back and two function buttons on the bottom. The LB and RB keys provide additional functionality.

The controller has interchangeable caps, and comes in three types – standard, high and low.

The entire joystick module is also replaceable, so that in the event of damage, the damaged parts can simply be removed and replaced with good ones, without having to replace the entire controller.

The user now has the ability to set and edit profiles with predefined controls, as well as access other features such as game volume etc. Sony has also upgraded the USB-C port with a locking mechanism.

The remaining differences compared to the standard DualSense controller are of an aesthetic nature.

So the new joystick has a black touchpad with PlayStation icons and a black finish around the left and right sides.

The buttons on the front also have a black background as well as the area around the buttons on the back.

Beyond that, DualSense Edge is essentially DualSense and includes all existing DualSense features, such as haptic feedback, customizable triggers, a built-in microphone, gesture controls, and more.

Hopefully Sony’s new controller won’t have the initial problems that the regular DualSense had.

We remind you that many users of the PS5 DualSense controller encountered problems during use, which caused uncontrolled movements, i.e. movement that the user did not want and movement of camera angles without any command from the user.

The new DualSense Edge will be delivered in a box, with accessories, while inside the case it can also be charged.
