The thief’s gun did not go off in Las Vegas.

A lucky Las Vegas man was spared his life when an armed robber was trapped during a botched robbery, a video shows.

The 68-second video from a Ring doorbell camera shows the victim returning home near the 2800 block of Faiss Drive, where he parked the car in a garage.

The unidentified gunman then approached the man and demanded his belongings, prompting the victim to run down the street.

The young suspect followed the target and tried to shoot the man as he was unlocking a gate, the flashing footage shows.

But the suspect — a black male between the ages of 18 and 25 — fumbles with the gun and is unable to fire it, allowing the man to scramble to safety.

The gunman then fled in a black sedan with tinted windows, Las Vegas police said.

Anyone with information about the attempted murder should contact Las Vegas police at (702) 828-9455. A message seeking comment from Las Vegas police was not immediately returned early Tuesday.

Some amateur internet sleuths speculated that the gunman, who appeared to have something wrapped around his right arm, caught a piece of clothing or plastic on the slide of the gun.
