The Super Smash Bros. World Championship is back.

After a successful year of organizing in 2021, the Smash World Tour is officially back.

Video Game Boot Camp (VGBC) organizer announced that the long-awaited competitive event will be back for a second year.

‘Smash World Tour 2022’ is a Super Smash Bros. fighting video game tournament released by Nintendo. This year’s tour will include both the Ultimate and Melee versions, priced at around € 250,000, which is the largest in Smash history.

Unlike last year, the ‘Smash World Tour 2022’ format will include a number of audience-organized tournaments across the globe, starting in March and ending in December 2022.

More than 25 events are currently planned to be held, and more are expected to be announced.

Smash World Tour events are expected to be held across the globe with tours to North America, Asia, Europe, South America, Australia and the Middle East.

Players will earn points based on their best scores, where the best players will meet at the Smash Tour World Championship in December.

At the end of the year, the top 30 players in the standings will be invited to the Smash Tour World Championship. The player with the most points from each region will qualify automatically, while the other two will be joined via a Last Chance Qualification (LCQ) held during the final event.
