The Germans turned off the cameras on some highways.

Germany has up to 13,000 kilometers of highway and almost every part is covered by traffic cameras. Now, in some parts of this country, the cameras are off.

On that occasion, the Autobahn public representative stated that “Due to the current development of safety policy in Europe, traffic cameras on our highways are currently not available.”

“We apologize for this and hope to offer the service again soon,” the statement said.

Although the Germans do not give a specific reason, it is clear that they want the Russians to restrict information on the movement of military aid to Ukraine and the grouping of troops towards eastern NATO countries.

Recall that recently in Germany there was a discussion about how they can become independent of the oil of Russian President Vladimir Putin, so some associations proposed radical measures to reduce fuel consumption.
