Real Madrid held their General Assembly today (Sunday), ahead of their La Liga match against Osasunas.

The assembly, which saw Florentino Perez talk about a number of issues close to the club, such as the Superliga, the CVC deal in La Liga and last season’s successes. The head of the club presented a number of reasons for the Super League, stating that “Football is sick”.

Real Madrid is still in positive financial parameters. The president of Los Blancos presented the figures to the Assembly, which showed that the club had realized a profit of 13 million euros for the previous season.

Perez is asking members to approve their budget for next season, which amounts to just under 770 million euros. A profit of five million is projected within that budget.

It was also revealed that the total cost of the stadium was €538 million at the moment, as the Bernabeu undergoes a major renovation, which will be completed in the summer of 2023.

It seems that Real Madrid will also have to sell players next summer, in order to keep the team as fresh as possible with new arrivals.
