The fan escapes the worst, leaves the stadium on a stretcher

Emergency

Cádiz-Barcelona was interrupted due to a medical emergency that occurred in the stands of the “Nuevo Mirandilla” stadium.

It was the 80th minute of the match when referee Del Cerro Grande stopped the game because a spectator suffered a problem that was revealed to be cardiac in nature, specifically a heart attack.

The goalkeeper of Cadiz, Ledesma, took a defibrillator from the Barça dock and threw it into the stands where the affected fan underwent cardiac massage.

The scenes were tense, with players, coaches and the refereeing team waiting for news.

Nervousness grew in the stadium as another medical emergency was in the stands area, while the fan who suffered a heart attack behind Ledesma’s goal was still being treated.

When 47 minutes had passed since the stoppage of the game, the emergency services evacuated the fan who suffered a heart attack on a stretcher.
